How we hire a global team (and never miss a payday)
Creative behind this:Glenn

We’ve made plenty of client videos, but we’d never been the client in one until WorkMotion came to film us for their Employer of the Future series (their words, not ours).
We don’t really have an office, so they drove all the way to Yentl’s house in Frauenfeld. It’s a quiet little town where you don’t see film crews very often, or ever.
We do have an empty room where the mail piles up, but Mathilde, who runs our admin, HR and pretty much everything else, is the last person you’d find there. Last we checked she was in Kazakhstan, or Uzbekistan, or somewhere in South America, but she still makes every meeting.
She has a hundred things to worry about on behalf of all of us, and payroll isn’t one of them. The only time anyone thinks about payroll is when their salary is late. That’s never happened at Von Peach (touch wood!), and we have WorkMotion to thank for that.
Our team lives across Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Malta and more. Each country has its own contracts, taxes and payslip rules, and setting up a company in every one of them would be madness.
So we don’t. WorkMotion is the legal employer for our team in each country, and we just do the work. If you’re a small team that wants to hire abroad, it’s worth a look.
Meanwhile the mail keeps piling up, and Mathilde says she’ll pop in next time she’s in Switzerland, whenever that is.
